How to Respond and Inspire as a True Leader
The principle to Respond versus react when turbulent times hit. In our fast paced and ever changing business environment a lot of business-people fall into the trap of reacting instead of responding to a challenge. Rather than rising above all the confusion, they get sucked into being part of it.
They become part of the problem rather than showing leadership by becoming the source of the solution.
True leaders become masters at responding to challenges, they do not tend to panic instead they show grace under pressure - the key is to stop worrying about all the things you can't control and dedicate yourself to manage and improve the areas you can control.
Take initiative - you are the person who starts things, a go-getter which makes results happen. Rather than stand there paralyzed by fear, a Leader stays calm, shows excellence and responds to a situation by being an active problem-solver.
Last but not least, Inspire other people by applauding even the smallest positive acts they do.
Leadership is not about correcting and criticizing others, it's about inspiring others to do their best.
When praising be conscious about the right timing, the right action and be sincere about it. Commit yourself to become passionate celebrator of the great work that those around you are doing. Recognize excellence - praise good work and honor mastery.
